Appletini

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 1 cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka smooth, neutral vodka like Grey Goose or Tito's
  • 1 oz sour apple schnapps such as DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • ice cubes for shaking
  • green apple slice for garnish
  • maraschino cherry for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Chill your martini glass by placing it in the freezer for 10 minutes before making your cocktail. This keeps the drink colder for longer.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes, about halfway full.
  • Add the vodka, sour apple schnapps, triple sec, and fresh lemon juice to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
  • Strain the cocktail through the shaker strainer into your chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a thin green apple slice on the rim and a maraschino cherry if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a sweeter Appletini, add 1 teaspoon of simple syrup to the shaker. For a more tart version, increase the lemon juice to 3/4 oz. For a more vibrant green color, add 1-2 drops of green food coloring before shaking. To batch for a crowd, multiply the liquid ingredients (no ice), store in a pitcher in the fridge up to 24 hours, and shake individual servings with ice to order.
