Dirty Shirley Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz lemon-lime soda Sprite or 7UP
  • 1 oz grenadine
  • ice cubes
  • 1 maraschino cherry for garnish
  • 1 slice lime for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the vodka over the ice.
  • Add the grenadine — it will sink to the bottom creating a beautiful ombre effect.
  • Top with lemon-lime soda and stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish with a maraschino cherry on a cocktail pick and a lime slice on the rim. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a stronger cocktail, increase vodka to 3 oz. For a party batch, multiply all ingredients and serve from a pitcher over ice.
